Product Overview
Adopted in 1849 and manufactured by Ames Mfg. Co., this was the first official Army Ordnance contract knife. Only 1,000 of these sturdy knives were made. Our replica is made of hand forged tempered carbon steel. The rosewood grip has a pierced ricasso for lanyard. The knife has a solid brass guard. It comes with a black leather sheath with a brass throat and tip. The throat has a button for attachment to a belt frog. Overall Length: 19.75 inches.
