This early-style Bowie knife of just 1-1/2 pounds comes with a high carbon steel blade that boasts of needlepoint, and the knife is delivered sharpened from the factory. The hardwood grip is 5-1/4" long, and the brass guard is only 4-3/4". Another bitterly effective armor feature is a brass strip on the spine meant to intercept an opponent's blade during a parry.
