Product Overview
This pattern sword was used by the Confederate Mounted and Artillery Officers. The fullered blade is made of high carbon tempered steel, the brass guard is cast with the letters "CS" on the rear of the knuckle bow. The wooden grip is covered with black leather and wrapped with brass twisted wire. This saber has a very curved blade, with a single stopped fuller on either side. Comes with a blued steel scabbard with brass rings and tip. Replica made by Windlass Steel Crafts, India. Our exact replica has a 35" long blade, its more like a cavalry saber than Artillery. A saber like this was carried by some Confederate officer at the battle of Stone's River (Murfreesboro), Tenn. Overall length: 42 inches.
