This 18 gauge helmet and bevor was popular with fighting men all over Europe, from the Wars Of The Roses to the battles of the Reformation. This helmet was quite open in the front, yet provided ample protection for the neck. Was frequently worn with a bevor, which provided protection for the lower part of the face and improved airflow over an enclosed helmet.
