The Model 1902 Army Officer's Saber was adopted in July of 1902 for all US Army Officer's except Chaplain. It has a slightly curved, stainless steel blade and it is etched with the letters "U.S." surrounded with ornamental scroll work. It has a four branch steel guard and a steel back strap with nut on top. The grip is black plastic (used to be horn but the specifications were changed) and is moulded for the fingers for a better hold. The steel scabbard is nickle plated and two rings for attaching to the belt chain. Comes in 28 to 34 inches blade length. Made in Spain.
