Originals of these cutlasses are believed to have been made in Richmond, VA, and are copied from the earlier model U.S. M1841 Naval Cutlass. Our excellent replica has a wide unfullered tempered carbon steel blade. It has a brass grip, guard and pommel. The pommel has the letters "CSN" cast on one side and a fouled anchor on the other side. The grip is moulded in a scalloped design to suggest eagle feathers. The cutlass comes complete with a black leather scabbard and frog. The scabbard has a brass throat & tip. Overall length: 27"
