Product Overview
The Civil War-period Ordnance Sergeant chevron features three bars and a central star, representing a unique and historically accurate rank insignia. Worn by Ordnance Sergeants in both Union and Confederate armies, these chevrons are made with high-quality dark blue or grey wool backgrounds, depending on the side of the conflict being represented.
The tape pattern is available in cotton or silk, with colors corresponding to the appropriate Army branch (Infantry, Artillery, Cavalry, etc.). The cotton tape version was more commonly used during the Civil War and will be provided by default unless silk tape is specifically requested.
Sold in pairs, these Civil War reproduction chevrons are ideal for reenactors, collectors, or anyone restoring an authentic Civil War uniform.
When ordering, please select the background color, stripe/rank color, and type of tape. (If tape type is not selected, we will send the cotton tape version by default.)
