During the Civil War period, the Quartermaster Sergeant Company chevron had three stripes in a V pattern and a tie. The color of the stripes was of the branch of the Army on a Dark Blue or Grey background of Wool. Stripes were made of silk or cotton, with the cotton version more widely used. Sold in pair.
