Product Overview

These Civil War Company Quartermaster Sergeant Chevrons are accurate reproductions of the rank insignia worn by Company Quartermaster Sergeants serving in both Union and Confederate units during the American Civil War. This rank was responsible for company-level supply management, making the chevrons an important symbol of enlisted authority and logistical responsibility.

The design features three inverted stripes arranged in a V pattern with a single horizontal tie, faithfully replicating period-correct Civil War regulations. Each chevron is constructed on a wool background, offered in dark blue for Union impressions or gray for Confederate uniforms. The stripes are applied in the appropriate branch-of-service color, ensuring accurate representation of Infantry, Artillery, Cavalry, or other service arms.

Stripe material is available in either cotton or silk. Cotton tape, which was more widely used during the Civil War, is supplied by default for historical accuracy, while silk tape may be selected upon request for a refined finish. Sold as a matching pair, these chevrons are intended for sleeve wear and complete a proper Company Quartermaster Sergeant uniform.

Ideal for reenactors, living history participants, collectors, and museum displays, these chevrons provide the correct visual authority and detail required for an authentic Civil War impression.
